*About this Role*:
We are seeking a construction Accountant for our Chester Springs, PA location.
The position will report to the corporate controller and oversee financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining cost control.
This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and clients.
*Job Responsibilities:*
- Ability to reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices related to AP.
- Experience in generating and analyzing AP reports for management review.
- Experience with multi state sales and use tax
- Competence in processing customer invoices, AIA billings, posting payments, and issuing receipts.
- Skill in monitoring accounts to ensure timely collection and resolution of outstanding balances.
- Understanding of credit policies and procedures, including assessing creditworthiness of customers.
- Experience in handling customer inquiries and communicating effectively regarding AR matters.
- Proficiency in generating AR aging reports and conducting periodic reconciliations.
- Perform financial analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Provide recommendations to optimize project profitability.
- Maintain organized project financial records.
Ensure proper documentation of financial transactions and project related
*Job Requirements:*
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or another related field.
- A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience with Accounts Payable and Receivable.
- Bank reconciliation.
- Job costs (WIP).
- Experience with Payroll.
- Must reliably commute to our Chester Springs, PA office.
