_A Child's Place is seeking two Before Care Lead Teachers/Kindergarten Assistant in our __*Owen J Roberts: School-Aged Program.
*_ _Our program operates in each of the Owen J Roberts Elementary Schools providing before and after school care and kindergarten enrichment to students in grades Kindergarten through 5th.
We follow the Owen J Roberts District Calendar; __*this a 10-month position.
*__Staff have the option to return year after year!_
*Locations:*
* West Vincent Elementary
* East Coventry
*Shifts (Part-Time)*
* *6:15am1:00pm *
* Monday through Friday \*_With some flexibility_
* No Major Holidays / No Weekends
* Additional Shifts/Hours available at Day Off Programs on select days when the district is closed
* *10-Month Position (School-Year Based)*
* _\*Optional Summers Available at our ACP Summer Camp - Summer Hours not guaranteed_
*Before / After School Teacher Responsibilities include:*
* Assist in supervision of students at all times.
* Maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for staff and students
* Work collaboratively with your team to plan and implement a daily schedule that students can follow
* Work collaboratively with your team to plan and implement lessons, activities, games and projects to keep students engaged.
* Maintain a professional demeanor and communication with parents, students, district staff, ACP Staff and supervisors at all times.
* Report to the Program Director any issues or questions which may arise in the program.
* Help maintain a neat and organized classroom/before and aftercare space and assist with general housekeeping tasks such as wiping tables, keeping attendance paperwork organized, cleaning/organizing storage cabinet, etc.
* Provide daily electronic and face to face communication with parents during drop off and pick up

*Desired Qualifications and Requirements:*
* *High school diploma or equivalent AND two (2) years experience working with children* *\*Required*
* Associate's or higher in ECE, Elementary Edu, Special Ed or related Human Services Field _\*Preferred, but not required_
* Ability or Willingness to obtain Clearances, Physical with TB and other information required for working in state-licensed childcare *\*\**_*A Child's Place will assist all new hires obtain their clearances and all other necessary information\*\**_
* Lift up to 40 lbs
* Repetitive bending, stretching, and stooping
* Climb up stairs
* Have mobility required to ensure the safety of the children
* Work with the children on the floor
* Work outdoors in any variety of weather
* Have visual and hearing capabilities that allow consistent supervision of children with DHS licensing safety requirements
* Perform light duty cleaning
* Follow all health and safety protocols and procedures
