Part of our Corporate Finance Department, this position collaborates with cross functional teams, provides first-line support for all financial applications, offers essential training to users and supports finance-led projects.
The Financial Systems Analyst works closely with Information Technology to implement and support technology solutions to drive efficiency and process improvements, and supports the following business processes: financial accounting, report writing, paperless procurement, and fixed asset and lease accounting.
In addition, the position participates and contributes to the day-to-day accounting responsibilities.
*Job Responsibilities**:*
* Serve as the initial point of contact for all financial application support requests.
* Deliver training on financial systems and processes both in-person and via the creation of user-friendly documentation and resources to aid in understanding and optimizing system utilization.
* Collaborate with the IT team to troubleshoot and resolve system issues promptly and ensure uninterrupted operations.
* Work with project teams to provide financial systems expertise and support in project planning and execution.
* Contribute to the design, testing and implementation of new applications, processes or enhancements and assist with statutory and client requirements.
* Support the Corporate Finance Department with the monthly close, annual audit, annual budget, compliance reporting, accounts payable processing, reconciliations and other tasks.
*Job Requirements**:*
* Four-year degree in Accounting.
* A solid understanding of finance and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
* Three to five years of previous experience with various financial systems.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to financial systems.
* Previous experience working in a finance role.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Demonstrated adaptability and commitment to continuous learning.
* Proven track record of identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements to optimize operational efficiency.
