As an Systems Support Specialist at Discovery Federal Credit Union, you will play a vital role in maintaining the daily operation, monitoring, and maintenance of Discovery's network, computer systems and programs.
_*The key responsibilities of an Systems Support Specialist include:*_
* Maintains interfaces between the credit unions systems and all third-party vendors.
* Coordinates with designated department team members to analyze/test software release enhancements and subsequent patch updates.
* Manage and respond to helpdesk ticket requests in a timely manner.
* Provides hardware, software and network support in a professional, courteous and timely manner.
* Perform problem resolution and provide on-call support for computer/network systems.
* Participates in planning, implementation, and monitoring for purchase and maintenance of hardware and software.
* Develops and maintains forms integrated into the credit union’s core system.
* Records and maintains hardware and software inventories, site and/or server licensing, and user access and security.
_*The Systems Support Specialist will possess the following qualifications:*_
* Associate's degree and a minimum of 1 year of directly related experience to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Or at least 3 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
* Knowledge of MS Office Suite (O365 and associated office products), Microsoft Teams, Active Directory, VM and server environments; Windows 10/11, computer hardware, software and peripheral devices; web browsers, common client/server and web-based application architectures and standard integrations.
* Knowledge of software development tools for report writing purposes a plus.
* Knowledge of current developments/trends in the financial services industry.
* Ability to plan, implement, test, and troubleshoot system software.
* Ability to develop and write systems and applications documentation and user guides.
* Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Must be detail-oriented, dependable, and able to collaborate effectively in a group setting.
* Ability to diagnose computer hardware and systems software issues, and communicate technical guidance and information to users.
* Knowledge of computer security procedures.
* Knowledge of federal copyright laws as they pertain to the use of computer software.
