The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, Southeastern Veterans' Center, is searching for a Quality Assurance/Risk Management Specialist.
This position works with a team to ensure the facility is following state and federal regulations and assists in correcting issues that arise.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK Working as a Quality Assurance/Risk Management Specialist involves consulting and collaborating with interdisciplinary clinical and non-clinical support staff in the monitoring and evaluations of the quality assurance and risk management program activities at the Southeastern Veterans' Center.
You interpret internal and external regulations governing a long-term care facility and identify possible issues of non-compliance.
These duties are achieved through monitoring patient care records, participating in facility surveys, and recommending corrective actions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 37.
5-hour work week.
Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of professional experience as a member of a multiple disciplinary treatment team in a public or private health care facility and a bachelor's degree; or Two years of clinical experience in an human services agency, including one year of administrative, evaluative, or consultative experience in a health care program; and a bachelor's degree with major course work in social work, nursing, health care administration, behavioral sciences or a related field; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
