We are actively seeking a Material Handler - Rigger's to join our 1st and 2nd shift Material Handling teams Start Time: 3 am or 4 pm Overtime starts after working 8 hours worked Material Handler - Rigger's are required to perform the following job duties: Safe Rigging: Safely rig and attach lifting equipment to precast concrete components following established safety protocols and procedures.
Load Inspection: Inspect and verify the integrity of the loads, rigging equipment, and lifting devices before each lift to ensure safety and quality.
Precise Positioning: Operate overhead cranes and other rigging equipment to accurately position precast concrete components according to project specifications.
Communication: Collaborate with team members and crane operators to ensure clear communication and coordination during lifting and positioning operations.
Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of rigging equipment, ensuring that it is in proper working condition.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines, regulations, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of rigging activities, including load weights, equipment inspections, and incident reports.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: Experience tieing/chaining/strapping down loads is required CDL A experience or willing to get a CDL A while working through company One year experience in the pre-cast/pre-stressed concrete industry preferred Ability to work outdoors Valid driver’s license required.
Certified equipment operator a plus; travel lift and/or tow motor a plus Ability to follow instructions and work independently General Duties: Assist in hooking up products for loading and unloading Operate company equipment to move material, load & unload trucks, & other duties as assigned Use of hand signals to escort equipment operators for setting, lifting or maneuvering production pieces during loading/unloading process Operate electronic hand held scanners for verification of production pieces during storage process Will gather, at start of shift, shims, steel blocks, homosote, rack pins, and wood blocking used for the days production Working for The High Companies: High Concrete Group LLC combines innovation, proven technology, more than three-quarters of a century’s experience as a precast company, and nearly 50 years as a precaster.
