We are currently looking for a talented and experienced Heavy Civil Estimator with an entrepreneurial spirit to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities: Analyze project plans and specifications to identify potential opportunities and risks.
Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for heavy civil projects, including earthwork, utilities, roads, and other infrastructure components.
Conduct thorough quantity take-offs and solicit competitive quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
Collaborate with project teams to establish and track project schedules and milestones.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and vendors to ensure favorable terms, conditions, and pricing.
Monitor subcontractor performance and address any issues promptly.
Identify and assess potential risks associated with projects and develop mitigation strategies.
Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in heavy civil construction.
Qualifications: Proven experience as a Heavy Civil Estimator with a minimum of 4 years in the industry.
Strong proficiency in estimating software and project management tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Thorough understanding of heavy civil construction processes, materials, and methods.
