*SUMMARY * Confers with leadership to assist, direct, lead, train and mentor production employees, equipment and processes.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
* Responsible for training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
* Oversees and leads employees in stretching exercises at the beginning of their shift.
* Communicates with mixing department for production needs.
* Gives feedback regularly and has input to the Supervisor on the performance of employees.
* Reviews production schedule to determine total run quantity.
Notifies supervisor if revisions are needed due to work order specifications, established priorities, and availability of ingredients, machines, employees and equipment.
* Assists with changeover and machine daily startups.
* Responsible for daily scheduling of 1st and 2nd shifts.
* Trains employees on machinery, production rules and procedures for SQF policies.
This includes QC paperwork and electronic checks; line paperwork startup and SSOP paperwork procedures for each line.
* Sets pace on line and works with other employees to meet or exceed production goals.
* Monitor the production line, watching for problems such as pile-ups, jams or glue that are not sticking properly.
* Generate maintenance requests as needed.
* Performs daily ATP swabs and uploads results in the computer.
* Understands ink jet printer operation and cleaning; scanner operation and transaction use; and tape machine operation and reloading.
* Responsible for understanding the Material Handler position and operating a forklift.
* Operates and controls Urania Sealer.
* Quality control overrides.
*SCHEDULE* Monday through Friday *SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY* This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but will provide feedback about employee performance to the supervisor.

* *Education* – The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
*Language Skills* – The ability to read, write and comprehend the English language.
Employee must have legible handwriting of words and numbers for quality purposes.
*Math Skills – *Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
*Reasoning Ability – *Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
*Physical Demands – * Must be met by an employee to successfully perform job.
· Required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Frequent need to talk or hear.

*Work Environment – *While working in this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
The employee is exposed to outside weather conditions – such as heat and cold.
The warehouse is predominantly unheated and is not air-conditioned.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
