*Summary: *The Delivery Driver/Yard Worker is responsible for delivering building material products or supplies to customers, job sites, or other company locations.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*:
* Drives specified trucks to a customer's destination
* Maintains the ability to determine the status of an order at any given time
* Produces quality products to meet and exceed customer’s expectations
* Follows any special instructions pertaining to an individual order
* Maintains inventory stock the yard in a safe and orderly manner when not on the road
* Reports any quality or inventory discrepancy issues to the appropriate person
* Communicates positively with supervisors, sales staff, fellow workers, and customers to coordinate deliveries/pick-up
* Operates a forklift safely and efficiently, maintains required certification, performs vehicle safety checks, and reports discrepancies to supervisor
* Assists in keeping the facility clean, neat, safe, and operating efficiently
* Processes returns accurately
* Presents a neat and professional image
* Assists in keeping facility secure
* Maintains proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required
* Seasonal Requirement: Assists with snow removal
* Other duties as assigned
*Education and/or Experience:*
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Must have current commercial driver’s license (CDL A or B) and current medical certification
*Other Qualifications: *
* Construction experience highly desired
