Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Order Engineer.
As an Order Engineer, you will be responsible for receiving acknowledgments and dealer orders from Order Entry and create the necessary paperwork to produce the cabinetry in the factory.
This role requires strong mathematic skills (especially geometry), spatial reasoning and analytical/problem solving skills.
As a part of our Dealer Service Team, you are also expected to be familiar with basic office operations, work with customer via email and phone, comfortable with computers, internet and Microsoft Windows.
Duties:
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Review order specifications, generate parts lists, detail drawings and other reports for the production line in the factory
- Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate order fulfillment
- Create, edit and manipulate 3 dimensional models of cabinetry in Cabinet Vision both from pre-made libraries and from scratch.
- Communicate with customers regarding order status and updates
- Read and interpret dealer orders and intentions via their submitted orders
- Assist in resolving any order-related issues or discrepancies
- Print, collate, and organize factory reports
Qualifications:
- Kitchen industry experience is preferred
- Familiarity with drafting (including AutoCAD), 3D modeling or product engineering helpful
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with complex technical specifications
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
