Essential Job Functions:
Manages team w/ lead operator and in the absence
Helps in cleaning work area
Coordinates with Wet Line Supervisor to complete production schedule
Sets production machinery to product specification
Assigns/rotates line duties among team members
Checks bottles for proper sealing (15min intervals)
Helps with taking samples for quality control as needed
Maintains cleanliness of work area
Assists in evaluating team members
Documents and maintains proper paperwork
Wears the proper safety equipment (safety shoes)
Any other duties as requested directed or assigned by the manager/supervisor.
Job Requirements:
Prior manufacturing experience preferred, at least 1 year
Education and Experience:
High School graduate or equivalent
Licenses / Certifications
None required.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Comprehensive operating knowledge of all available processing equipment and processes
Basic understanding of computers
Good communication skills with a capacity to present, discuss and explain issues coherently and logically both in writing and verbally.
Clear decision-making ability
Basic math skills
Good team player, self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
Good influencing and persuasion skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams and build successful relationships at all levels
Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Assists Lead Operator/Supervisor in managing and directing line personnel.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include safety compliance, training new employees, assigning work, appraising performance and providing continual feedback on both positive and negative performance.
The assistant holds line personal accountable, addressing complaints and resolving problems through their supervisor
Demonstrates commitment to company values
Fosters a positive cooperative work environment
Troubleshoots line issues
Preforms proper care of equipment, reporting problems to maintenance
Responsible for production changeover
Equipment to Be Used:
Computer, copier
Hi-lift, Standard forklift, Walkie-rider, Pallet jack
Line Equipment (fill machine, labeler, capper, sealer)
Pallet Wrapping Machine
Training Required:
Forklift Operation (certified to operate upon hire)
HACCP Training (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points, example: line filters)
Filler Machine Operation
Cap Machine Operation
Typical Mental Demands:
Ability to work under stress with interruptions and deadlines
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
