JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: PRECISION RF (PRF) CABLE MANUFACTURING OPERATOR
Summary/Objective: Responsible for the manufacturing of cable.
This includes but is not limited to operating wrappers, braiders and extruders.
Has a complete working knowledge of the operation of all machines, equipment, measurement devices, and tooling within their assigned area.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
1.
Understand and operate production machinery.
2.
Efficiently read / use tools such as calipers and micrometers.
3.
Understands how to read assembly drawings and manufacture the parts accordingly.
4.
Monitors quality of both raw materials and finished goods.
5.
Maintains all production paperwork, including quality assurance and efficiency information.
6.
Sets up and makes minor adjustments to equipment.
7.
Perform processes associated with attaching connectors to the cable.
8.
Test cable using network analyzers and TDR’s.

Required Experience:
1.
Previous manufacturing experience in production or on an assembly line is a plus.
2.
Must be able to read and understand job specifications, schematics, shop order, read prints, operating instructions, perform basic math calculations, basic statistics interpretation, identify basic functional problems, take corrective action, and interface with supervisors and engineers to solve problems.
3.
Ability to pay close attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously.
4.
Basic computer skills with a knowledge of Microsoft Office.
5.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
6.
Functions well in a team environment and individually.
7.
Experience with cable manufacturing processes is a plus.
8.
Physical Requirements:, capable of standing and/or sitting for more than 180 minutes straight, and not suffering from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.
9.
Lifting Requirements: Light work – Exerts up to 50 pounds of force frequently.
1 Hazards and Atmospheric Conditions: Must be willing to adhere to all department safety rules and regulations.
Preferred Education:
1.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Training Required:
1.
On the job training as appropriate.
