Automation Project Manager Location: Morgantown, PA How You Will Make an Impact? The ideal candidate in this role will develop, implement and maintain safe, optimal and cost-effective manufacturing automation processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards.
This role will recommend own the project management function for automation projects from start to finish.
The Nuts and Bolts 1.
Supports research, design and the development of safe manufacturing processes, including production flow, assembly methods, and production equipment 2.
Consults with stakeholders to determine functional and spatial requirements of new structure or renovation, and prepares information regarding design, specifications, materials, equipment, estimated costs and construction time.

Prepares capital projects for new equipment and processes including research, proposal, approval, implementation, and training related to the project 4.
Prepares and maintains work instructions, setup instructions, and other related process documentation for shop floor use 5.
Supports and may lead the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members, and evaluating results 6.
Designs, develops and tests and/or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery and equipment, and refrigerated insulation processes for the safe manufacturing of truck bodies and components 7.
Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of the facilities property, buildings and equipment 8.
Safely launches machines, process, methods and/or tooling technologies effectively 9.
Documents lessons learned and communicates among the Mfg.
Engineering discipline 10.
Provides technical process expertise for plant and supplier quality issues 11.
Other duties as assigned Required Credentials • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering • 5+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment, 4+ years of work experience in a comparable industry • Experience leading multiple large CapEx projects and leading a small team • Familiarity with project management process from start to finish • Experience with existing manufacturing technologies, including but not limited to: welding, fabrication, painting, manual assembly • Experience with factory automation including painting and welding, maintenance, and integrating engineering designs into production • Practical Lean principles experience with proven success using the tools • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Minitab • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Quality orientation and attention to detail Preferred Credentials • Facilities projects experience • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt highly desirable • CWI certificate a plus • PMP certificate a plus You Must Be Able to • This job operates in a manufacturing plant environment.
Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
• Travel up to 30-50% domestically and/ or to Canada as business/ project needs require.
