Location: Morgantown, PA How You Will Make an Impact? The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer-Automation Projects will perform cost justification, lead project reviews, obtain financial approval, and work with integrators and contractors to fully implement automated equipment.
This position will also perform troubleshooting, design improvements, and retrofitting of previously implemented automated and semi-automated equipment.
The Nuts and Bolts • Build safety into every aspect of equipment • Design equipment and procedures to automate the production process • Conduct studies to improve equipment OEE • Address production efficiency issues and implement solutions • Prepare and present concept layouts and drawings • Perform system diagnostics and prepare reports • Work cross functionally with teams to aid increased efficiency of production and Manufacturing Engineering processes • Ensure volume and mix flexibility in equipment and processes • Improve labor, space efficiency, and costs effectiveness • Standardize equipment and processes across plants • Develop and document Operator and Maintenance training • Work with Maintenance to create maintenance procedures, PM schedule, and spare parts list • Identify and qualify equipment integrators and suppliers • Justify, install, test, qualify, administer training, and successfully implement equipment into full production • Other continuous improvement duties as assigned Required Credentials • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering • 5+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment, 4+ years of work experience in a comparable industry • Experience with factory automation, maintenance, and integrating engineering designs into production • Experience with existing manufacturing technologies, including but not limited to: welding, fabrication, painting, manual assembly • Experience leading multiple large CapEx projects • Familiarity with project management process from start to finish • Practical Lean principles experience with proven success using the tools • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Minitab • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Quality orientation and attention to detail Preferred Credentials • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt highly desirable • CWI certificate a plus • PMP certificate a plus You Must Be Able to • This job operates in a manufacturing plant environment.
Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
• Travel up to 30-50% domestically and/ or to Canada as business/ project needs require.
