Hours: Monday-Friday-3:00pm-12:00pm (OT & Saturdays, as needed)
Roles and Responsibilities:
Plans, organizes, and directs the 2nd shift team in meeting their production targets according to the established schedule
Maintains safe working conditions, safe work practices, and good housekeeping throughout the operations
Implements methods and processes to improve productivity, quality, and reduce costs
Coordinates and oversees supporting 2nd shift functions, such as Maintenance, Facilities, Loading, and Materials, to ensure all operational areas are supporting the value-added work
Trains, develops, instructs, and motivates employees to successfully meet production targets
Illustrates ability to effectively manage performance expectations with employees according to Viwinco’s Core Tenets and performance management processes
Understands problems that limit production and effectively utilizes problem-solving methods to identify root causes and deploy countermeasures
Understands and complies with all applicable company policies, standards, and procedures; effectively communicates these expectations to employees as well
Skills and Abilities:
Bi-Lingual- English and Spanish (Preferred, but not Required)
Initiative and competence to anticipate and respond to issues along with the ability to identify and implement changes as needed
Excellent communication skills, personal accountability and a strong sense of urgency
Proactive vs reactive approach
Strong analytical thinking skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with co-workers at all levels of the organization and across different shifts
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
Education and Experience:
3 – 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
Lean Manufacturing experience strongly desired
