has an excellent opportunity for a Electro-Mechanical Intern in Morgantown, Pa.
who will be hard working, dedicated and reliable.
This internship will be paid and hours are flexible work based on your course schedule.
This position is responsible for providing engineering support for manufacturing efforts that may involve process improvements and/or implementation of new policies in safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction, and equipment installations.
This is an amazing, hands-on opportunity to gain experience in the your field of study while being supervised and mentored by our Reliability Engineer.
Compensation: $18.
00 per hour Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assist the manufacturing launch of new/revised products, to include documenting procedures, assisting with training needs, and purchasing new tooling.
Assist with design of machinery layout and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
Perform time studies of various manufacturing processes.
Participate in safety, quality and process improvement projects to meet the company’s goals.
Maintain necessary documentation for process improvement activity.
Assist with creation of procedures necessary for an efficient, safe work environment and to meet the company’s goals.
Daily support to reliability engineer for PLC control of production equipment - application, optimization, and development Use of CMMS for problem solving, record keeping, improvement tracking Active work on improvement projects as a team member Prepare relevant technical documentation about the process Education / Desired Experience Classroom training toward a degree in Electro-Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or other related course work Basic knowledge about control systems (PLCs, HMIs, Robots, pneumatics, servo drives and axis, industrial communication protocols) A fundamental understanding of Controls, Problem Solving Skills, and Manufacturing Processes Intermediate level about PLC programming languages (ladder, sequencer, structure text) Must have the ability to work both alone and in a group Ability to manage multiple demands while maintaining solid communication skills both verbally and especially by e-mail Ability to maintain positive morale within the workforce Enthusiasm and have a positive approach to problem-solving Excellent computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Excellent written & communication skills Knowledge of Spanish is a plus, but not required.
