Hexcel is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic 1 for our Pottsville, PA, USA location.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
Requires the ability to work from blueprints, drawings, sketches and other written and verbal instructions to accomplish the following functions: install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair all plant equipment and machines including facilities and building maintenance; fabricate tools, jigs, replacement parts and other equipment as required; perform other duties as required by supervision.
Must abide by all plant safety rules and maintain all work areas and equipment in a safe and clean condition; must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds; must be able to operate a forklift; will drive company truck as needed.
Familiarity with and ability to install, troubleshoot, and program various industrial control systems (e.
g.
, PLCs); install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic control equipment.
Position works with 480 volt electricity and lower.
Overtime and call-ins will be a requirement as needed for emergency coverage, emergency breakdowns or work backlog.
Must provide all machinist and mechanic hand tools to accomplish the above functions.
Qualifications:
Must have formal training in electronic component troubleshooting and repair; Degree from Technical College is a plus.
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in two (2) of the following skill areas: electrician, industrial electrician, PLC systems, servo motors and drives
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in two (2) of the following skill areas plumber, machinist, mechanic, welder, combustion systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Minimum of six months experience required, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
Knowledge in CNC Machine installation, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration desired.
Experience with Siemens, FANUC or Allen Bradly PLC systems strongly preferred.
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent required; Valid driver's license required.
