Requirements:
Work in a Safe manner, follow Safety rules and documents, wear required PPE.
Ability to work with in a group, work with Production and other departments.
Principal Purpose of the Position:
On the job training along with formal training to progress to an industrial electrician.
To understand and apply blueprints and technical diagrams
Learn to repair, install, troubleshoot, and wire all electrical apparatus, devices and circuits of any voltage in the facility.
Inspect electrical components including transformers and circuit breakers
Use testing devices to identify, report and repair electrical problems
Use hand and power tools
Adhere to state and local regulations, and company policies
Performs other duties as required
Learns how to utilize proper lockout/tagout, confined space, and hot work permit procedures to maintain a safe environment while following EHS/regulatory procedures
Helps to maintain a clean work/production environment daily and after maintenance work has been performed
Position Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
Basic math, reading, and English courses
Experience:
Zero (0) to Three (3) years
High ability to work independently.
Skills and Abilities:
Possesses interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships within the team and the organization
Understands and utilizes Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel
Possesses a high level of urgency and can work with minimal supervision
Supervisory responsibilities: None
Work environment:
Must be able to work in a heavy manufacturing environment.
Must be able to climb ladders and stairs
Must be able to walk extensively during the workday, and stand for extended periods of time.
Must be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time.
Computer work.
Must be physically able to meet the tasks specified in accordance with CLI requirements.
Work in hot and cold environments.
Work in and Industrial Mill environment.
