As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse.
You will ensure the warehouse is organized, clean, and safe at all times while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities: Receiving and Processing: Receive, unload, and check incoming stock against purchase orders or invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Sort and place materials on pallets according to organizational standards.
Picking and Packing: Prepare orders for shipment by picking and packing items accurately and efficiently.
Pack and label merchandise as required, ensuring items are packed securely and appropriately.
Shipping: Prepare shipping documents and labels.
Arrange for transportation or coordinate with carriers to schedule pick-ups.
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers.
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and stock movements.
Perform regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Monitor stock levels and assist in restocking shelves or bins as needed.
Quality Control: Inspect products for defects or damage before shipment.
Report any discrepancies or issues to management promptly.
Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Ensure aisles are clear, and all equipment is properly stored when not in use.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines.
Equipment Operation: Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
Teamwork: Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Assist colleagues as needed and contribute to a positive work environment.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a warehouse for 1 year is preferred.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Basic math and computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
Working Conditions: This position may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Work is performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
Overtime may be required during peak periods or as needed.
